Hospital Bag Haul

Button Spot Foldaway Overnight bag: £40

We were at the hospital this week for our Doppler Scan. The midwife found kept getting high PI flow readings which she said means that baby could be working too hard to get nutrients and oxygen from the cord. She also said that it may just be baby being difficult and putting pressure on the cord.

Anyway, I will give you the full details in my weekly update on Sunday or Monday. I have another hospital appointment this week so we will find out all the specific details and get a chance to talk to a doctor. Hopefully after this we will have more of an idea of what our cheeky baby is up to in there. Basically, what led me to making this post was the lady at the hospital quickly said to us that if the readings remain high the doctors could talk about an early delivery which kind of sent me into major panic mode!

I hadn’t even started my hospital bag, I had only made a lot of lists like the one I posted here. So on Tuesday night I went on a internet shopping spree for things for my hospital bag and I thought that I would share them with you. You may recognise some of them from my previous want lists.

This is the night dress I hope to give birth in, if everything goes to plan!
Maternity Night dress: £10

These are the super glamorous and sexy pants for after delivery. I read that you should just get cheap ones which you don’t mind getting ruined (lovely).

4 Pack Assorted Floral Briefs: £4.50
4 Pack Assorted Oriental Floral Briefs: £4.50

I haven’t bought any new bras since I got pregnant so it is safe to say that the ones I wear at the moment are rather snug. I have finally treated myself to some Nursing Ones which will hopefully make breastfeeding easier.

Maternity Nursing Bra (2 Pack): £14
Maternity Nursing Sleep Bra (2 Pack): £12

These are my PJS for my time in the hospital after I give birth. I went for this dressing gown because it was only £8 and I thought as I’m having a boy blue would be very fitting!

Short Sleeve Polka Dot T-Shirt: £4
Tapered Pyjama Bottoms: £10
Polka Dot Dressing Gown: £8

I ordered 4 packs of each of these just to be on the safe side!

My Little Star New Mum Disposable Breast Pads (26): £0.99
My Little Star New Mum Maternity Towels (10): £0.99

Superdrug Antibacterial Hand Gel: £0.99
My Little Star Cotton Wool Balls x 100: £0.99

I got two toothbrushes, one for Ash and one for me.

Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste: £1.09
Colgate Portable Toothbrush: £1.50

You never know how long you will be in hospital for so I ordered dry shampoo for a short stay and mini shampoo and conditioner just in case I am in a little longer.

Dove Shampoo 50ml Intense Repair: £1.20
Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner 50ml: £1.20
Batiste Dry Shampoo On The Go Blush 50ml: £1.50

Nivea for Men Black & White Deodorant 35 ml: £1.20
Sure Women Crystal Invisible Aqua Aerosol Deodorant 35ml: £1.20
Palmolive Milk and Honey Shower Gel 50ml: £1.20
Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel 50ml: £1.49

The final things for the bag. I imagine that I may get a little sweaty so I have two ways of keeping hair out of my face!

Superdrug Head Bands Blonde x 3: £2.59
Superdrug Hair Grips x 30: £1.39

Obviously this isn’t everything that will be going in my bag but I have some of the stuff already but I will keep updating you once I get the bag started!

See you next time x
