Auchenlarie Holiday Park

Last weekend the sun was shining so we packed up the car and headed up to sunny Scotland. I’m luck enough that my step mum owns a caravan up there and we can go there anytime we like really. This time we were only up there for the day as it was just a spur of the moment trip but we got a lot of beautiful photos that I wanted to share with you.

Auchenlarie has the most amazing views of the sea and the cutest pebble beaches. We just had a walk through all the caravans and down towards the complex which overlooks the sea. You can have some drinks while sitting on the veranda looking at the beautiful scenery.

The complex has an amusement arcade, new soft play area, swimming pool, gym & restaurant/take away. So no matter how old the kids there is something for everyone. Additionally, there are some tourist spots close by but I will let you know about them when we go and visit in the future. I haven’t been to many myself so I’ll have to check them all out one by one and let you know.

There is a couple of little parks around the holiday park and luckily one is right opposite our caravan so I took Milo there while everyone relaxed on the balcony having a cheeky drink. Milo was absolutely exhausted after running about after all the rabbits but obviously refused his second nap before our meal.

I had a ceaser salad in the bistro and I’m not kidding it was like a mountain of salad and a with a whole chicken on top, it was lovely but I was absolutely stuffed. Milo acted up the whole meal and made zero effort to make any of his dinner but the staff were so good with him. They have him some crayons and a colouring book to have a go with and always spoke or interacted with him on their way past to keep his attention. You will know that little things like that make life with a toddler a little bit less stressful.

I haven’t been asked to do a review or sent here, this is just our family caravan but I wanted to share the location with you if you are looking for somewhere in the UK for a little getaway this summer. I would recommend it 100%, there is loads to do for the kids and I always love having a couple of nights away somewhere different. I’ll finish this post with some more of our pictures, hope you like them! If you have any recommendations for somewhere similar let me know because I’m looking for somewhere different to go next month for a couple of nights.
